Let me start with how much I appreciate Jay Crownover's work. She is an amazing author and I love the way she writes and makes you want to keep reading her books. The characters are amazing, the setting is amazing and everything about it is amazing. And you're asking yourself... Then why a 4 star review? Well let's get deeper in this story...

We were introduced to Jet and Ayden  in RULE (which I also enjoyed, a lot) the first book in the Marked Men Series. This is a series that, for now, it's going to be a six book series (So exciting!!!). I thought I wouldn't like  Jet because he was going to be the crazy rocker friend who had a different girl every night. Which is partly true. But, then you read this book and you just can't help fall in love with him. he was so sweet and he sang to Ayden every night and they were a mess together, but they were perfect together.

The only reason I gave this book 4.5 stars was because of Ayden. 

Ayden, Ayden,Ayden. She just pissed me off! I'm not going to say anything more about the matter because I don't want to give spoilers but yes, she pissed me off. This would've been a 5 star review if it wasn't for her.

Anyway, I totally recommend it and the first book too!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to read and drew me in from the beginning. 

Rule and Shaw have known each other since they were kids. Rule is a bad boy who started getting worse when his twin brother, Remy, died. Shaw was Remy's best friend and all the Archers thought they were involved romantically. 

Rule and Shaw are total opposites. Shaw is a good girl and Rule is a bad boy. I think that was one of the things that drew me in the most. Rule can have his mood swings and sometimes is a total duche but then, he was good with Shaw and so sweet. 

Really recommend this book and can't wait to read about the other tattooed bad boys...

Opposition (Lux series #5) by Jennifer L Armentrout - Book review!

Sorry that I haven't been posting. It's just, school started and I have been swarmed with so much homework and exams. I actually made this review some time ago, when I finished reading it but I haven't had time to edit it, So here it is!

So. Today I'm bringing to you  my thought and feelings about the LAST book in the Lux series. Because it's the Last book I'm going to divide this review in Non-spoilery part (for those who haven't read it and just want to know if it's worth your time) and Spoilery part (for those who have read it and want to know if we have the same thoughts) because, you know, I really need to get all my feelings in to this review.  Ok, so let's begin!

Let's talk about the cover. I really didn't like what they did with Obsidian and Onyx being Lux beginnings and Opal and Origin being Lux consequences. Then the covers... Oh my god they took out Daemon and Kat, as I pictured them, and put half a girl's face! what is that! I was super disappointed with them. Opposition wasn't THAT bad because it had Daemon. But still,  I think they could've done amazing things with the last book... Now enough about the ranting.

I enjoyed it. But it's not my favorite one from the series. It obviously had that Kat and Daemon chemistry that we love. It had battles ( which I love). But I thought it was going to be longer, I wanted a BIG book with a Big finale. Besides that I seriously recommend the book and series. all the books are easy to read. And to those who haven't read it, Well you need to get on it! First book is called Obsidian if you want to search it.

Spoilery review

So I've already talked about how I didn't really like the change of covers and that I enjoyed the book. Now let's get deeper...

First things first... 

Other than being a little to short for a final book in a series I enjoyed it.

When Kat saw Daemon for the first time, and he was denying that he had feelings for her, my hart literarily broke. I was so mad with Daemon! But then,  we all knew he couldn't betray her like that. 

When I read the scene where Sadi told Kat she was actually an Origin and she knew what was her plans and Daemon's  I was soo mind blown. I wasn't expecting her to be an Origin. And then Katy made the car they were in flip? that was glorious! 

I loved it when Hunter and Serena appeared, because I really liked them in Obsession. The part were they met Lotho (the leader of the Arum) I found it so creepy. For a moment I thought they wouldn't convince him to fight against the Luxen. But as we know the Arum killed a lot of Luxens. 

Dee... Dee, Dee, Dee. I was so mad! I knew she couldn't help it because Daemon had Kat and Dawson had Bethy. But Dee had no one. When she was fighting Daemon, and wanted to kill him, I wanted to knock some sense in to her. I mean, she threw Katy through a wall!  and there was a Katy-size hole in the wall. But then katy started telling her about Adam and that she loved her like a sister. That did the trick!

 Now I really did enjoy the epilogue. Kat and Daemon enrolled in college. Dee had Archer. Dawson had Beth and baby Ashley.  The only thing that made me sad was Luc. Sure he now had all of them as a family but I wanted to see Luc with Nadia! Why did she have to die. I would have liked a side story about Luc. It would've been awesome a love story with Nadia but, oh well...

My review

I'm in love with this series. This is probably the longest series I've read that I know I'm going to finish. Because, you know, sometimes in this kind of series that is long,  that every book is a stand-alone and every book has different stories you feel that by the book before the final one, the series has lost the meaning of it all. But this series has kept me in since book one and all of them are super amazing.

But, moving on to the actual book...

I really enjoyed Mark & Meredith's (or as they call themselves in the book, M&M) story. It was soooo sweet and I definitely didn't expect Mark to be that way. If you've read the past six books you'll understand what I mean.
And Meredith, she was perfect for Mark in every way. They are perfect for each other. I really enjoyed seeing a little of the lives of the others as Always. But What I really enjoyed was that Kristen included Jax (Meredith's best friend) in the story. Like Jax going with Meredith and the other girls to "Girls Night Out", everyone enjoying the addition of Jax in the whole Bunch including Jax boyfriend Logan as well. 

The only thing that I didn't really like was that Meredith and Mark went back to being normal too fast after they reencountered. I guess I wanted more of them getting to know each other and the different way they thought from when they were 18. I don't know maybe I'm crazy? 

Either way I think the book overall was amazing. Definitely recommend it and Fall can't get here soon enough for the final installation and Dominic's story in the With Me In Seattle Series.

That's Jen's new Motto. She and Colin have known each other since they were kids. They both had a really bad time when Jen's brother and Colin's best friend Danny died in Afghanistan. After he passed away they lost the connection that they had and Jen did some bad things that she isn't proud of. This story has a lot of drama and chemistry between the two of them and I love it. I love Monica Murphy's books, the way she writes and all her stories are fantastic. Drew + Fable was amazing but I liked having another story included in this series.

My Review:

I read this book in one day. I completely engrossed in this story even though it had parts that just simply irritated me. All the story is a jumbled mess of emotions between Cassie and Jack. It also gives you a brief glance to what is Dean (Jack's brother) and Melissa's (Cassie's best friend) story. If you've read the whole series, you probably recognize them from book one ( The Perfect Game) and book two (The Game Changer). I still think the best book in this series would be the first one, but This one was good. It was beautiful the way you could contemplate all the things Cassie and Jack have overcome over the years and to see their family growing.
