Summary from Goodreads

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

My review

I would have never imagined this series would get here when I read the first book. This book kept me on edge the entire time I was reading it! But that doesn't mean I didn't loved it any less than the other books. As always Jen surprises me every time I read a book of hers. You don't know what to expect when you start reading. But this book. This book was out of league.

Origin begins one or two days where Opal left of. If you don't remember what happens at the end of  Opal I recommend you re-read it. If you read Opal I doubt you forgot the end because it was so shocking I don't believe you would forget it even if you tried it.

As most of you know origin is in both Katy and Daemon's POV. I found that amazing because when in the first book ( Obsidian ) Jen gave a few bonus parts in the end of Daemon's POV I thought I was going to get more In Onyx but I didn't. So yaaaaay!!! I got a lot of Daemon's POV.  Anyways... So much changed in this book that I would love to tell you but I don't want to give any spoilers and I can't seem to find a way to write more without writing any spoilers.
